First Love follows a leaf’s reluctance to let go during the beginning of the Fall season. It is a short dialogue between the leaf and the branch.
First Love was my second Poetry Comic project, published in 2025. It was originally created as a webtoon entry for the Mangra-draft competition. Following the competition, I adapted it in an EPUB format. Due to the brevity of the story, it has not been adapted for print… yet.
As with Sparrow, my first poetry comic project, I wrote the poem and scripted it for a graphic novel format in a 9:16 aspect ratio for mobile-first viewing on a smartphone.
Each panel was then converted into a hand-coded EPUB to be EPUB 3-compliant.
A purely human creation. Every panel was hand-illustrated and authored to capture the nuance of human experience and the beauty of change.
