Our system consists of a Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio HD 8-channel switcher. The switcher has 3 cameras, a computer that runs PowerPoint, and an audio signal from the audio console. All those signals are combined into a single SDI (Serial Digital Interface) signal. The SDI signal (SDI-out) from the ATEM is fed into an encoder (SDI-in). The encoder conditions the video signal for FaceBook and YouTube and is output on an ethernet port.
The laptop is used for the Graphic User Interfaces (GUI) of the ATEM, encoder, and streaming platforms.
