YouTube requires two pieces of information for the Zowie box to send information to it:
- RTMP Server Information
- Stream Key
RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol) refers to a specific port on the YouTube server that expects data to enter in a certain format. It will be in the form of rtmp://servername, where servername is specific information for our account.
The Stream Key is an encrypted password used to ensure that no one else can broadcast on our channel.
Both the RTMP and Stream Key information can be found on the page of the live feed.
